The United States Investing Championships, held annually by Dr. Norman Zadeh, announced the current results of the competition through the end of October 2022.
Three hundred sixteen top traders participated, but only 26, or 8%, reported profits, according to contest organizer, Dr. Norman Zadeh. The United States Investing Championship is a real money, verified competition that allows up-and-coming traders to showcase their talent on the world stage.
In the stock division, among traders with accounts of less than $1,000,000, the leader is Gemy Zhou, + 406.7%, from Toronto, Canada. Mr. Zhou was born in Chongqing, China, and grew up in Chengdu, China. He has BS and MS degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. He is a full-time trader. Sean Ryan, from Costa Mesa, California, is second, + 153%. Sean is the son of David Ryan, a three-time USIC winner. Sean finished 30th in 2021, + 18%, 13th in 2020, + 128%, and second in 2019, + 51.8%. In third place, + 83.2%, is Shane X. Zhang, from Toronto, Canada. Shane grew up in Vancouver and is a full-time trader. The other entrants reporting profits in the stock division are Shahid Saleem + 53.9%; Manish Patel + 47.7%; Nishit Shailesh Mehta + 38.1%; Wind Win + 22.5%; Hoang Nguyen + 22.5%; John Rodrigues + 18.8%; Joey Stephens + 16%; Sundeep Idlani + 13.9%; Dan Dormody + 8.9%; Joe Meyecic + 6%; Don Bartell + 5.6%; Rainier Trinidad + 5%; and Joo Liang Tee + 4.4%.
